Legally PSYCHO, Love Interest Part Two

Oh NO! One isn't speaking on those women who make us shout at the protaganists "Call the proper authorities and get the bloody hell out of there, you wanker!" No, those women are easy to spot with their inappropriate laughter and attachments to newly-found friends ("'Til death does us part blood sister!"); they are too easy. I am speaking on those women we label 'not quite right' in our social circles, yet we continue to invite them to weddings and birthday parties. Sometimes in therapy; other times refusing to admit that everyone needs help (sometimes), these women are a cause for pause when we think of some of the situations they have 'gotten us into' or managed to 'get out of' themselves.

I am reminded of one of the first films where the female foil made me think that an ounce of therapy might have prevented the ton of trouble within the film's plot: "The Strange Love of Martha Ivers" (1946).

If you have ever seen the film, you know that Barbara Stanwyck's privileged and unloved character was headed for reform school from the very beginning. If not for her insecurity, she may have escaped her concillatory existence, thus taking her inherent ambitions of greatness to some other life. Placing all your eggs in the dirtied basket carried off by a train car isn't too smart...placing all your faith in the same basket years later is delusional! She got what she deserved in the end- call it Karma.

These women are dangers to themselves and to those they label "loved ones". In my amateur clinical assessment they are all legally psycho....

I am continuing to recover from my birthday celebrations....Thanx to all who came.
