44kgs in Shibuya!

I realize this has nothing to do with my serial posts on hero-flick foils or anything to do with screen goddesses...but I miss my friend Jeffy-pooh!

For those of you whom have never been to Tokyo's Shibuya area, I AM NOT ACTING AS A TOUR GUIDE! This post is all about my friend Jeff's freedom of travel that I am simultaneously jealous of and cheering on. I'm a very complexed person...
So anyway, my ex-boyfriend took me to Dai Nippon ("Great Japan") a few years back and I fell in love with one little area SHIBUYA!

I am a clotheshorse when I am happy, and weighing 44 kilograms in Shibuya's Ichi-Maru-kyu ( meaning 1-0-9/10-9 and also...) "Bitter Valley" but one is only bitter if you miss out on the shopping, dining and clubbing. Which is what anyone reading this who isn't Jeff is doing right now... My favorite was Takeshita Street, where my day-guide and I played 'guess the bootleg'...you would have to be there. Another fav was Omotesando where I window-shopped with the best of them (here's a tip: stick to the mall because even if you can afford it Stateside, you may not in Tokyo). Oh! and all that drama over crossing the street IS TRUE! That was the first time in many years I had to hold more than one person's hand crossing the street. My philandering ex is going to pout when he reads this, but there was always a cute guy willing to hold my other hand while my day-guide and I crossed by the station (are you pouting Richard?).

When I wasn't running up my boyfriend's credit cards, I was at the universities with my day-guide having her translate poetry books or flirting with guys. It's a totally legit hobby!

Miss you Jeff!

Kisses,
M.~
